Sunny Meadows Flower Farm

Website Relaunch
I led the redesign of Sunny Meadows Flower Farm’s digital experience, consolidating two separate platforms into a single, cohesive website that serves multiple customer types while improving usability and increasing reach.
Role: UX & Web Designer | Duration: 8 weeks | Tools: Figma, Canva, Adobe, Shopify

The Problem
Sunny Meadows had two disconnected digital experiences—WordPress and Shopify—which created friction for users and inefficiencies for the business.

At the same time, the website needed to serve three distinct audiences:

  • Florists (primary buyers)

  • Retail customers

  • Fellow growers/farmers

Each group had different needs, but the experience lacked clarity, consistency, and ease of navigation.

The Goal
Design a unified, user-friendly website that:

  • Serves multiple user groups seamlessly

  • Simplifies navigation and purchasing

  • Reflects the brand’s quality and values

  • Expands reach to new customers

Research & Insights

We leveraged years of customer feedback from:

  • Florists purchasing wholesale

  • Retail shoppers

  • Industry peers and growers

Key Insights

  • Users struggled to find relevant information quickly

  • The split between platforms created confusion

  • Different audiences needed clear pathways tailored to them

Structuring for Multiple Users

I designed the experience to guide users based on their intent, ensuring each audience could quickly identify where to go.

  • Clear navigation pathways

  • Thoughtful content grouping

  • Intent-driven user flows

Designing a Unified Experience

I created wireframes and layouts in Figma, focusing on:

  • Clean hierarchy

  • Readable content blocks

  • Consistent visual language

These designs were then translated into Shopify to create a seamless, scalable experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

I worked closely with:

  • A developer to implement and troubleshoot functionality

  • A copywriter to ensure clarity and tone

  • The marketing team to align on business goals

This iterative process helped us refine the experience and ensure it met both user and business needs.

Visual Design & Branding

Using Canva and Adobe tools, I developed:

  • Custom graphics

  • Cohesive brand visuals

  • Engaging imagery that reflects the farm’s personality

Final Solution

We successfully merged two platforms into one cohesive Shopify experience that:

  • Simplifies navigation across user groups

  • Improves usability and clarity

  • Creates a more engaging and visually consistent brand presence

Key Takeaways

  • Designing for multiple user groups requires clear structure and prioritization

  • Collaboration is critical when bridging design and development

  • A unified platform can significantly improve both UX and business efficiency
